What happens if....?

...an egg or a milkshake is broken/tipped into a post box full of letters?

* Do the letters still get sent if they're all gooey?

* Are the senders notified if their letters arent sent?

* Who cleans up the messy post box? The postman?

    -Most of the time, nope

    -It's probably left that way. I doubt the post office really cares and doesn't want to spend time cleaning something that doesn't really affect them.


  2. I think if the person who did it is caught it's a federal offense..tampering with mail.  I don't think they can send the "ruined mail", how would senders be notified, no one except them would know they had mailed a letter.  I would think the postman has to clean the box out.
