What happens if somebody . . . . . ???

Question

gets sent to the Arizona Department of Corrections for a 4 month sentence on one charge but still has a hold on them from a city for another charge? Will they still be released from prison on time or will they have to go back to county and deal with the city charge before getting out?

Answer 1

One of two things will happen:

1). They will be released on time, but an officer from the other jurisdiction will be ready to take him into custody and transport him to the other jurisdiction for processing, or...

2). A hold will be placed on him until the other jurisdiction decides whether or not they will come to pick him up.
