What happens if someone wears an outdated prescription for a long time?

  1. it could be dangerous. i wouldnt do it. there are stuff like chemicals that could go bad and hurt your skin


  2. If you mean an "OLD" prescription (more than 2 years), it just gets where you KNOW you need an updated prescription. I'm wearing glasses right now that are a little over 2 years old and I know I need new ones, but they're gonna be expensive. I squeeze as much use as possible out of a pair of glasses before going back for new ones. I'll probably have to wait until the end of the year to afford new ones, though, because I have an very strong prescription AND they're bifocals, so the lenses alone will cost me about $500.

  3. I guess it would just be uncomfortable. I got a stronger prescription in just one eye recently and if I wear old glasses the prescription seems a bit funny in one eye which is uncomfortable after a while. It might give you a headache.

  4. He doesn't see as clearly as he could with an updated prescription.  It could cause eyestrain or headaches.
