What happens if the superbowl is played in a teams home city? Like if Tampa went to the superbowl this year?

I don't think you'll have any worries about that this year. Tampa is not going to the Superbowl.

Very few season ticket holders actually get Super Bowl tickets, so it just becomes another Game. All the tickets are sold through our the league.

The fans of that team have a shorter distance to travel if they managed to get tickets.

ADD:Beast it actually has NOTHING to do with record. They alternate between the AFC and NFC as to who is the home team. Even numbers are AFC, Odd numbers are NFC. So since this is 43 the NFC is the Home team.

Even if the host team is in the Super Bowl, they could be the away team. It would still depend on a team's record, who gets to dress in the home locker room, and who has to use the visitor lockers. So if Tampa did make the SB, they might still be wearing road whites.

exaxctly they just play the Super Bowl..it might be a bit of a disadvantage to the other team, but thats how it happens. There is nothing the NFL can do about it----you cant just pick up and move the Super Bowl somewhere else, its a huge economic stimulus for the area its in
