  1. PLENTY of babies have been born who were exposed to birth control.  It doesnt have any effect but you still should not do it.

  2. They give you a pregnancy test before they give you the prescription for the birth control so that this doesn't happen.

  3. No the pill only stops u from getting pregnant!

The progestin in the Minipill may prevent ovulation; however it may not do this reliably each month. The Minipill works further by thickening the mucous around the cervix and preventing sperm from entering the uterus. The lining of the uterus is also affected in a way that prevents fertilized eggs from implanting into the wall of the uterus.

So if u were already pregnant it wouldnt effect the baby at all!

But it might make u feel really sick!

Whilst your pregnant the hormoans that your body is realeasing may course you to feel sick with extra added hormoans from the pill may make sickness alot worse!

  4. Birth control would have no effect on the fetus.  You would not get a period so that would be a big sign that you could be pregnant.

  5. Nothing.

  6. One of the main reasons you start taking the pills at the start of your period is to be sure that you AREN'T pregnant.

But if you did take the pills for a month or so there would be no harm to the baby. (Presumably, after NOT get a period for the first couple of months you would begin suspect something...)

  7. yes it would be very harmful to the baby if you didnt stop. You're supposed to wait to start birth control until after your period to avoid this problem.

  8. it causes the baby to have birth defects if taken excessively. by the way, the morning after pill is just an extremely high dose of birth control pills, so maybe taking them during pregnancy could end up killing the baby as well. it is not recommended at all.

edit-people who are giving the thumbs down must have no idea what they are talking about because i have had this discussion with my doctor. it is not okay to take birth control during pregnancy for an extended period of time. sure if you only do it for a little bit and then stop, things would be fine. but if you were to continue taking it there could be serious repercussions. get over yourselves.
