  1. I am in Ohio so  I cant help with the cost of the fine. You can call the Clerk of Courts on the back of the citation and they can tell you for your locality.

    Driving without insurance places a person under the Financial Responsibility Act (FRA) and the court will order you to be under a Section 22, which is extremely high risk insurance.

    You will be under the FRA rules for the next three years. Part of the Sec 22 rules is that if you fail to pay for a single month, you will be reported to the DMV immediately and your plates and license can be instantly revoked.

    Hire a good attorney for this one. It will be more than worth the cost for what the court will do if you go in without one.

    Best of luck and I hope this is useful to you

  2. you should have to go to jail.

  3. You will get a ticket. You will be required to get and show proof of insurance.

  4. The statewide schedule for a violation of California Vehicle Code section 16028, subdivision (a) calls for a fine of $760. This amount includes applicable assessments, but depending on your county it will be within a few dollars of this amount.  Without putting words into the judge's mouth, he or she might ask you to not drive a motor vehicle in this state without insurance.

    */End of Line.

  5. charged with a ticket go to court to pay it..judge will ask you for an insurance card to see if you now have insurance because the wise thing to do is to get insurance
