So, I booked a trip to Cabo with my boyfriend only to later read your passport must be valid for 6 months before going. Mine will be valid only for 2-3 months....has anyone else had this problem? What should I expect? Surely I can travel.

  1. I don't know what to tell u, reality is reality

  2. you need to have a valid passport.

    not expired... simple as that.

  3. Julian is absolutely correct.

  4. What it means is that your passport needs to be valid for at least six more months. ie. it will not expire within the next 6 months. The actual amount of time you have had it is irrelevant. It makes sense when you think about it -- Mexico will give you a tourist visa for up to six months so your passport cannot expire during this time.

  5. Julian is right; also I've travelled to mexico with no passport and all i had to to was give the man 10 bucks ;)
