You can't. They place a speculum in your eye to keep you from blinking while they are doing LASIK.

I've had the surgery. Your eye is held open so no prblem there.

Are you considering it? If so I'd recommend it every time. My life has changed immensely since I had it done a year ago. I swim again. I teach scuba diving and that is so much easier (plus I can see what I'm looking at underwater now!!). Training in the gym is better too - no glasses sliding down your nose as you work out.
