Most of the time they can still get a DWI conviction, plus now you will have a separate charge for refusing a test. Which can additional carry fines and a longer revocation of your license.

Failure to cooperate, giveing them reasonable cause that you have been drinking. Meaning they can arrest you.

1st offense and you want your license back in 30 days.. Take the brethalyzer and take your poison from the judge. Pay the fine, etc..

You got money and want to fight it - always refuse..  Just like most cops and politicians do and they always get off.. Another stradegy is to refuse and tell them you want to take a blood test. Sometimes, it can be hours before that test can be taken.. At the hospitol, you hit the snack machine and eat and drink alot of water, etc while you wait.  Also, depends on what county you live in.. I know a lawyer here that almost guarantees you will walk, but you got to fork over 10K...  Money talks my friend.

In florida, you go to Jail. First they will take you by the hospital for a blood test. Then to jail. If you work with them it will be a lot easier on you
