If you do not pass the eye test.....you do not get a permit or a license.

it gets marked on your liscence, and if you get pulled over w/o corrective eyewear you will get a ticket

If you test poorly on an eye test with your glasses on then you will have to have your eyes retested to see why your glasses aren't strong enough for you to see.  Perhaps your script had changed since your last visit.  Nothing to be overly concerned with..go to the docs and problem solved.  Congrats on your permit!

For most drivers who fail with their glasses on, it means that they simply need a change of prescription.

For some drivers, it may mean that with best corrected visual acuity does not meet the standards of that state for safe driving. If that's the case, bioptic driving, or driving with the use of glasses-mounted telescopes, is an option for some drivers. If you think the second option is for you, talk to a low vision specialist.

If you do badly with glasses on and don't pass, you don't get your licence...that simple.

It means you have to get an eye exam and get new glasses or contacts if you can't see well enough with your old ones.
