  1. You become part of the problem instead of being part of the solution.

Be more solution oriented than problem oriented.

  2. items that could have been reprocessed and put towards the production of new items are simply being put in a landfill and covered in dirt and left to decompose and release their (potentially) harmful ingredients into the soil/environment.

Whereas if you recycle, it removes the need to produce items from raw materials.  Say you recycle all of your paper products.  that goes towards making new paper products such as bathroom tissue, news papers, books, etc...  if you recycle your plastic items that goes towards the production of clothes, housing material, razors.  where as if none of these items were made from recycled materials, millions of trees would be cut down, new plastic would be made, millions of gallons of water (used in the creation of these new materials) would be wasted, & millions of gallons of chlorine (use in the whitening process of paper products) would be used.

No matter how you look at it, it is always best to reduce your waste, reuse, and recycle all you can.

    Happy recycling!

  3. NOTHING AT ALL THE EARTH BECOMES A MORE DIRTY PLACE TO LIVE AND PRICES OF THOSE THINGS YOU DONT RECYCLE GO UP.

DID YOU KNOW? THAT EVERYTHING ON THIS EARTH IS NATURALLY REUSED OVER TIME THE ONLY THINGS EVER TO LEAVE THIS EARTH ARE THINGS THAT HAVE BEEN LAUNCHED INTO SPACE.

DID YOU KNOW? THE EARTH GETS IMPACTED WITH APROZ 9 MILLION TONS OF RAW ORE FROM COMETS AND SPACE DEBRI.

  4. Factories and companies keep wasting energy to make things from raw materials, releasing excess carbon dioxide into the air, contributing to global warming, which will kill us all.

  5. If I do not recycle, the collectors refuse the trash and leave a note requiring more attention to specific materials.

In particular they always reject garbage with any compostables or metals, most plastics, paper, cardboard.

But in addition it costs nothing to have recyclables picked  up whereas it costs a couple dollars per garbage bin to send it  out to landfill.

We have a complete prohibition on a long list of materials that can be recycled but are hazardous. We have to save these items up and send them on a twice a year pickup (batteries, electronics, florescent or mercury vapour lights, etc)

  6. That will raise the demand for more raw materials.  For example, If you do not recycle paper, the companies won't get their old paper back to create new paper again. They will need to get more raw materials to create the paper again, in this case cutting more trees.
