  1. You cant see, you wont drive, plain and simple.........

  2. Yes. The State employee conducting the test can detain your permit or license until you get glasses. I too failed the vision test about three years ago. The lady said she'd go ahead and give me my license, BUT!!!!!!, I had to promise her I would indeed get glasses. However, I live in a small town and she knew I would follow up on my promise. And I did. But in a larger city where people don't know each other, then yes, you can be denied.

  3. 1) They'll probably require you to wear glasses while driving.

    OR

    2) They'll give you a white cane and a cup with pencils.

  4. Yes it can.  If you are not within certain guidelines regarding your vision, you cannot legally drive.  No one wants a blind auto operator on the road with them!

  5. If you fail your vision test, they will require you go to an eye doctor for a full vision test.  If corrective lenses are required to pass the vision test, then you MUST wear them.  There will be a 'condition' right on your driver's license stating that corrective lenses must be worn.

And keep in mind... if you are ever involved in an accident and you are NOT wearing your glasses or contacts, your insurance will be void.

  6. Yes - because they will ask you if you need glasses.  Get your eyes checked at your doctors office before you go. Save you a heartache.
