What happens if you do this?

i was wondering what would happen if you put a music CD in a Wii console. we (as in my brother and i) just got the Wii a few weeks ago and we don't really want to try putting something in there that shouldn't be in there, in case it breaks. has anyone else ever tried this? does the CD work in the Wii or does nothing happen? or is it bad for the Wii?
