Like, you know how sometimes there are uncomfortable things you have to do at the doctor's office? Can't you just say "No."? What happens if you say no?

Will you like get in trouble or something? Like, if you're 16 years old.

  1. depends what it is?.....some things no problem...what you scared to drop your pants?  what u scared to show?

  2. It's your body, your choice.  You can always say no.  You will not get in trouble.

However, the examinations they do are for your benefit to make sure everything is alright with you.  This is their job.  Just zone out for a few minutes and remember they do hundreds of embarassing exams every week and to them its a normal thing.  No big deal.

Oops, just saw that you posted in Law Enforcement.  If you are in custody and the court has ordered whatever the exam or test, then yes, you can get into trouble.  If this is the case, talk to your attorney for clarification.

  3. you can refuse any medical treatment for yourself not your kids though and your parents can override your decision to refuse, also it is illegal for a doctor to refuse to give medical service as it might be vital to your health.

  4. you won't get "in trouble" or anything like that but if you were to repeatedly say no to something your Dr. requested of you, then your Dr. could decide to drop you as a patient altogether!

  5. You can refuse any medical treatment, and the doctor can then refuse to treat you.  That information does get reported to your parents' insurance company, by the way, and every time they try to set you up with a new doctor, that doctor is going to find out that you refuse to be examined.  You can't go to college without having a full physical and many jobs require them, so you may as well get used to it.

And the other posted is absolutely correct:  if this exam is court-ordered or if it was being done in conjunction with you being processed into or out of the criminal justice system, you DO NOT have a choice.

So the doctor told you to drop your drawers, he was going to grab your balls and told you to turn your head and cough.  Takes 30 seconds but is a pretty important part of your physical if you're a male.  You think the doctor's never seen equipment like yours before?  Get over it.  He's examined thousands already and it's no big deal.

If you're a girl, he's done breast exams and pelvic exams.  Just look at the ceiling and think about something else.  You get to do this every year for the rest of your life.

  6. He or she will probuly explain why the procedure needs to be done ,to help you stay healthy,Whatever it is cant be as bad as some of the things I have been through at the doctor.Come on be tough and do whatever it is is just to help you.Im sure it wont be so bad ok JUST DO WHATEVER HE OR SHE ASK  after all they are the doc. If you refuse he or she could drop you as a patient. GOOD LUCK it happens to all of us sooner or later
