What happens if you don't have money to pay for your restaurant bill?

Scenario?

4 friends go out to eat a a restuarant.

They order food, eat it, and then when the waiter comes by with the check, they tell him they have no money. What would they do? They don't really make you work in a kitchen do they? LOL. I was just thinking what they would do!

Well something similar did happen some time ago during a business dinner...the sales rep's credit card was rejected and he had no other form of payment.  He spoke with the maitre'd, gave him, a business card, left him a copy of his driver's license and paid the bill the next day.

They will send one of you to get the money..if noone is able or willing to pay....they will call the police.... Thats what I do....if you dont have the money.....dont eat out...

it once happened that i went to a restaurant with a friend and we ended up eating too much and we dint have enough to pay.. like short of $30+.. we both started crying thinking that they might make us work in the kitechen..we were in school uniform luckily and made up a story abt having an exam in a few hrs time.. they let us go lol..we didnt pay

If you don't have the money to eat out, you need to stay at home and make a ham sandwich and drink some water.  Not only (in the scenario) did you have the money to pay for the food, but you waisted the waiters time, and I'm sure if you didn't want to pay for the food, you wouldn't leave a tip either.  REAL NICE!!!

The answer to you question.......you would be detained by management until the police arrived to take your broke butt to jail!!

It's called theft! They can call the police and file charges on you. If you leave without paying they will take down plate numbers and file charges.
