There's like a million ants just crawling around here so i took some ant poison and scattered it around with a glove on the hand that was touching the...sugar like substance. But i didn't wash the hand without the glove and ate something and i was wondering if there was any chance i got some on the hand without a glove.

  1. Ew... you should've washed your hands right away, glove or no glove.

  2. how come you didn't wash your hands right after using the stuff & i cant believe you didn't wash them before touching food

  3. Probably nothing, but you should get the EPA number off the box along with the chemical name and have it handy in case you have to call poison control.

You probably didn't ingest enough to get sick and it depends on how the poison works anyway.  Some of the "poisons" for ants are not much more than the gluten from corn (like eating uncooked corn meal or grits) It simply makes the ants die from terminal constipation.

Some are "growth regulators" which either don't allow new exoskeletons to form when the ant sheds its old one, or doesn't allow it to get out of the old one in the first place, so it is crushed to death.

Just remember to wash your hands the next time.
