  1. you'll feel like ****

  2. Your body will go into what is known as 'ketosis'. This happens when the body realises that your primary source of energy (carbs) are no longer available and switches to burning fat for energy instead. It usually takes 3 to 4 days for women to go into ketosis and 2 to 3 days for men.

It is a controversiel diet that is VERY effective at weight loss (water, fat and muscle) but is very hard on the system initially.

Theoretically carbs are not required as fat (once in ketosis) has twice the calories as carbs but carbs also come with major advantages: the nutrient content of fruits and veg + the fibrous content for bowel health.

I personally wouldnt do a diet like this because you may lose a h**l of a lot of weight but the cost to your body will be high. When you come off the diet it also will have to be done slowly and with limited carbs or you could run the risk of putting the pounds back on.

A super healthy diet (that should be a breeze compared to very low carb dieting) would be to get all your carbs from raw veg and fruit for the course of the diet. No pasta, bread, potatoes etc. It would make you feel great and be very healthy. (no dairy either though).

    Good luck

  3. Please see my answer below

  4. You don't have any carbs to burn for energy so instead you will burn whatever fat you have for energy.

  5. You'd gain one h**l of a lot of weight when you started eating them again.

Cutting out major food groups for dieting does NOT work, seriously - the weight just piles back on (plus more) once you reintroduce the food.

  6. hmm not sure but would like to keep tuned into your question to find out myself. I'm sure you would lose a lot of weight

  7. youll lose weight in an unhealthy way and may possibly die in th months to come if you keep eating that way!
