What happens if you forget to go in for jury duty?

I work nights and totally spaced that I had to go in this morning. What's going to happen?

You need to explain to your employer and bring the proper paperwork explaining to them that you have to serve in jury duty. Employers have to give you the time off since you are required to serve by law. You cannot tell the Jury Commissioner you cannot come in because they can fine you for not showing up.

Don't know. I got picked to go in and I didn't bother to go. Nothing happened to me. Not saying go by that but eh.
