hi there...

here's the thing....i use contact lenses...i have eye power 2.50 on one eye and 2.25 on other...hence when i get a new set of lenses i have to buy one set of 2.25 lenses and one set of 2.50 lenses. But a few days ago, i had someone buy them for me...and by mistake i have both sets of 2.50. Now i can't get the lenses returned. Is it okay to wear 2.50 on both eyes? will it cause any harm? do i have to go buy 2.25 lenses again for the other eye? thanks..

  1. That small of a change won't be a problem, I wouldn't do it on a regular basis, but for this set it shouldn't bother you much if at all.

  2. BWS,

Using a power that is so slightly greater than your prescribed power will not hurt you.  If they are + lenses, the eye that's too strong can be blurry and get tired faster.  If they are - lenses, you might get a headache, but again no harm will come to your eyes.

  3. If your Doctor prescribed these lenses and then gave you the wrong lens, they should take it back and give you the correct lens.  Most Doctors are real good about this is the box has not been opened or the product tampered with in any way . . . bring it back and get the right one.

  4. Not a problem the image will be sharp during the day time.

  5. I would get them fixed.  Wearing lenses that are too strong for your eyes can cause them to get worse and give you headaches.

  6. We can't answer because we don't know whether you are referring to plus lenses of minus.
