What happens if you have stock in Anheuser-Busch? Is InBev paying a certain amount for each share?

  1. The shares of the company who are buying out another company, drop a little bit.  The shares of the company who are being bought out, "spike" upwards.

    In this case, if i remember correctly, inbev is buying out anheuser sooo....The stock of Inbev would go down, and anheusoer would go up.

    InBev wants to buy out the company.  So the will offer x*x amount of money in billions for the company which is the same thing as buying all their shares that the company owns.  

    Sometimes you see something like this:

    "XYZ plans to buy ABC for 14.4 billion dollars, or $33 a share/"
