I have it, and lately I've been moving my tongue irregularly, now it hurts and I think that it may tear if I keep moving my tongue irregularly. What would happen to the fraenum when I do that?

  1. I suppose it would repair itself, the mouth tends to heal fast.  I would double check with a doctor to see if there are any underlying issues to your problem.

  2. It is next to impossible to tear the frenulum because of the nature of the tissue; it's pretty tough.

The tongue has lots of muscles. My bet is you pulled one.
