i found out today that a lens was missing n i was poking my eye, but i wasnt getting nothing, i wasnt seeing alrite wit that eye and i had just rubbed it(learned a lesson...no rubbing anymore). i went to the internet n i found out it could be behind my eyelid. i thought i was being crazy but im so glad i was right cuz i put lotsa eyedrops n i got it out. but im still so unsure what if that happened before to me, or that wasnt the lust i had lost today. so the question is: what happens if you let a conact lense behind your eyelid for lots of time, for example if you dont notice it? i could very easilty had left it where it was and though it got out of the eye, what would have happenned in that case?

  1. I work for an optometry office for many years. I see this problem a lot of times and 9 chances out of 10 it's not in your eye. It probably fell out somewhere and you didn't notice it was gone.

Also when a contact is misplaced on your eye and you blink, it goes right to where it's suppose to be.

I guarantee you that you don't have it in your eye, because you would feel it, it would be painful, but just to be on the safe side go to the optometrist, because your cornea can be scratched and irritated. But honestly I wouldn't worry about it because as long as you don't feel pain, it's not in there.
