  1. You'll get a RTS { Return To Sender } stamp on the mail and instead of sending to them you'll get the package! What a surprise I got when I got my own mail.

[ Edit: You Must Have A Address On The Back, Otherwise Your Friend Will Pay For The Cost. ]

  2. will be return

  3. they should send them bakc to you i'm waiting for our stamps to go up to 55 cents.

  4. They ditch them or ask someone to pick up costs at other end or return them to You and say pay the full price.

  5. who ever your sending it to will pay for the cost..

i had to do that when my best friend sent me a letter..i owed 37cents

  6. they'll probably return to sender. sender being you if you put a return address.

  7. Depending what mood the person that handles them is in I think! Ive done this a few times being careless, some times they return to sender, sometimes the reciever gets charged on delivery and sometimes they send you a bill with a reminder of correct costings and the worst case is when they just bin them!!

I hope that your letter gets where its meant to be going this time but you'll have to make sure you do correct postage because you may lose something very important! =)

  8. If there is a return address on them there is a possibility Australia Post will send them back, however given that they are single letters they will likely let them through.

I wouldn't take my chances though, for a few cents extra you get peace of mind that your mail made it to the right destination.

I have received many letters over the years where the stamp wasn't watermarked or there was no stamp, but this was always when there was a bulk send from someone (e.g. invitations or business letters).

  9. usually the will return them to you if you put a return address on the envelope.
