  1. Biggest enemy of a computer is heat. Fans are there for a reason and store-bought rigs usually have poor cooling at best. If you dont like the noise the fan is making buy one thats quieter. Gaming puts the most stress on a rig and thats when the lack of proper cooling will take its toll on your tower if you yank a fan out that it needs.

  2. it will overheat. Your computer wont run as good, and after a while, it'll probably break your compuer because it will burn out. Leave the fan in there lol

  3. Usually it isn't a good idea. If it is the processor fan, you won't be able to turn on the computer without breaking it. If it is a case fan, you might be okay, especially if it is not the only one. It won't affect performance unless the computer has to slow down to stop from overheating.

  4. I would highly recommend leaving it in unless it has broken. If it has, I would highly recommend replacing it before you use your computer again.

  5. Well, your PC will overheat after about 10 minutes, when the CPU processes data is produces a huge amount of heat, and the fan vents this out of the back of your computer.

Yes it will affect gameplay, and I'd say you'll get a good 10-15 minutes playing before you motherboard starts preparing the dinner and cooks itself.

  6. It depends on how many fans are in the computer. If there are multiple fans and you only take out one, you should be fine, and might see a very slight increase in temperature. However if it is the only fan, it is a very bad idea to take it out. It probably wont lead to anything severe like damaged hardware, but it might cause the computer to crash.

Also, if it is the fan for your processor or graphics card, the component wont work without it.

  7. well that all depends. How many fans do you have. Do you have 4 or 5 intake or exhaust fans connected? if so then removing one won't have avery big effect. do you only have 2 or 3.1 for the cpu and 1 for exhaust then you are looking at a very quick overheating problem. They are used to cool hardware that generates heat. If this heat isn't dissipated quickly then the part can overheat causing system shutdown and reboot to complete hardware failure which can get expensive and dangerous.

  8. it will overheat and probably eventually burn out,
