i want to travel to mexico with my friend and we are driving down there. i know that entering mexico wont be a problem, but coming back may be so. what can happen? can they deny me entrance to my country? i am obviously a u.s. citizen.. so what happens? what shou

  1. If you insist on doing that you will get arrested,The first time you do it you will be stopped and if not arrested you will need to pay SOME BIG CASH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't do that it is too risky you will ruin your life


  2. You may be stopped by US authorities-- should you get thru-- I'll bet you'll have to cough up some $$ for getting back in..... assuming you have a corrupt border guard.....sorry.

    If you are flying- you'll be stopped at the airline counter.

  3. What makes you obviously a US citizen?  Anyway the other poster is right about needing a picture ID and birth certificate.

  4. If you're driving, you don't have to have a passport yet to get back into the US. The passport requirement will be in force starting June 1, 2009. (You do have to have a passport to fly though). You do have to have a government issued id (e.g., driver's license) AND proof of citizenship though (e.g., birth certificate).
