What happens if you try to us a vacum in space?

My little brother asked me this and i have no idea how to answer!

  1. Nothing would happen, because space is a vacuum, so the pressures would be the same.


  2. Nothing, as already described.  In addition, the motor would overheat and burn out because ordinary vacuum motors require the passage of air over them to cool them.

  3. Space is a vacume, and since there is no air a vacume will run but will create no vacume


  4. space is a Vacuum but not a perfect one. If you meant a Vacuum cleaner it would not work as these require air to function.

  5. It would overheat in a matter of seconds because there is no air to slow down the motor
