Question:

What happens if you wear contacts with the wrong diameter?

My neice wanted colored contacts like mine but my diameter is 14.0 and hers is 14.5 (or something like that), and my contacts don't come in that size, according to her. So I told her she can't order them with the diameter a different size but she said she could. So what could happen if she actually gets her contacts that size and wears them?

  1. They won't fit and will hurt all the time and come out easily.  The first time I tried contacts, the place I went (chain store) fitted me wrong and I had all kinds of problems with them.  When I finally got some that fit correctly, they never just popped out- and after about a week, I didn't even notice them in my eye.

  2. you could really s***w your eyes up and they could fall off

  3. That's exactly the reason why a fitting should be done by an eyecare professional first.

It isn't just the difference in diameter, but just being a different material can make it fit differently that clear ones of the same size.

So, to answer...they may fit...and they may not...without a trial pair first, no one knows for sure.

  4. You get ****-eyed.
