  1. Jail time...not a smart move how about bussing it or taking the subway

  2. 1/ ..... depends on who catches you.  assuming it is the police that catch you, you will be taken into the station house and placed into a jail cell.  there you will wait until they are ready to question you about the situation. oh. sorry i forgot something.  while you are sitting in the cell, one of the officers has permitted you to make a phone call - best you make the call to your parents.  when they arrive the detectives can then begin questioning you, with your parent present, or a lawyer.  unless your parent is a lawyer opt for a lawyer to be present.  your parent will s***w you up but you have confidentiality with your lawyer.  after the questioning, the detectives will decide if they will be charging you with ...............   if they do then you have to appear in court for a bail hearing.  assuming you get out on bail  ...... see 2/

2/ ..... if your parents catch you or you are now out on bail, you have to go home at some point.  may your god be with you once the front door closes behind you.

3/ ..... now that you have appeared in court for the trial - if found not guilty you walk out the front door.  if guilty you have to wait for a sentencing hearing.  you could get anything from a suspended sentence to many years in jail.  for a first time offence i would suspect you would get 1 year probation for each charge.  that is only the legal aspect of the matter.  you also have the lawyers bill of about $4000.00 plus the cost of the psychiatrist report to present to the court.  not to mention that from date of arrest to date of court sentencing, could be as long as 4 years total or more.  so you 'joyride' at 15 but at 19 you can't apply for some jobs because you have become a security risk.  some jobs might take you but you have to be free of any probation or other sentence condition for 5 years.  so a joyride at 15, sentence at 18 to 3 years probation means you can't apply for that job until you are 22.  by then the hiring binge they were on back then is over.  your friends are making good money in good jobs but you are on welfare because of your criminal record.  you never see your best buddies any more.  you go into a depression.  you want more money.  your dealer makes you an offer.sell some and make money. you do.  you get arrested again. and well you can see where this is going.

what a good life to live because of an illegal car ride.

  3. IF YOU PLAN ON DRIVING WHEN YOU DO REACH 16....I SUGGEST YOU DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT...AT 15 GET YOUR LEARNERS PERMIT..YOU'LL NEED AN ADULT 18 OR OLDER IN CAR AT ALL TIMES..WITH A DRIVERS LICENSE.....DON'T BE FOOLISH..

  4. You will loose your right to get your license until you are 21 years of age if the judge wants to.

  5. It depends.

Is that under 16 miles per hour in a traffic jam?

    Is that under 16th street?

    Is that under age 16?

Is that driving a motor vehilcle like an automobile, or a lawnmower or?

  6. Depends upon some other factors..... including the judge you stand before. Most will "throw the book at you" (sentence you to some fines for the violation(s). A lot depends on how many other charges are filed against you. There are all sorts of charges possible under New York State Vehicle & Traffic Law. This does not even take into account other charges under NYS Penal Law, which could be filed if appropriate. You could also be delayed from getting a learner's permit at age 16 in some cases as well.

As many have told (or will tell) you, the best bet is to do everything by the book and completely legal. Save yourself the time, the aggravation, and the money that would be wasted.
