  1. Nope...

It will take a while until your eyes are at its worst state. There, they will stay as they are for the rest of your life.

Would you expect them to get at its worst state overnight?

  2. Depending on how old you are, the shape of the eye may change as it is still growing. This is if you are in your teens, from 10 years of age to into your twenties there can be quite natural changes.

As long as the structure of the eye is healthy there is not the slightest reason why you should loose your sight. The actual focus can change and for most people it does.  Some times you inherit the same shaped eyes as a parent or grandparent, and if they  had strong glasses there is a chance, but not a certanty that you may have inherited the same shape, and you may follow suit. Don't worry about the strength of your glasses it is the quality of the vision that matters. I have known people with very strong lenses but they have a fantastic standard of vision when properly corrected. Better, even than some who don't wear any. The best thing to do is to have regular checks. You will be alright.
