    Q. A player makes a practice swing and accidentally moves his ball in play with his club. Has he made a stroke?

    A. No. He had no intention of moving the ball — see Definition of “Stroke.”

However, he incurs a penalty stroke under Rule 18-2a for moving his ball in play, and the ball must be replaced. If he fails to replace the ball, he will incur a total penalty of loss of hole in match play or two strokes in stroke play.

  4. You'd double over in pain and scream loudly in a high pitched tone.

  5. No penalty if on the tee, you may retee it..

Anywhere else the "stroke" counts, and play it where it lies.

  6. your out of gas

  7. REPLACE THE BALL ON ITS ORIGINAL SPOT-A STROKE ONLY COUNTS WHEN THERE IS INTENT TO CONTACT THE BALL

  8. It is not a swing...so the rule is when the ball on play, you can't touch your ball unless you put a marker.  If you move your ball then it 1 stroke penalty and the ball back to the original position.

On tee baxes.... if your driver accidently hits your ball, then the rules is.. you put your ball back without penalty... because it not your swing and the ball is not in play yet.

The other way if, when you want to hit your ball and you miss it (air shot) ... it still count as 1 stroke.

  9. it counts as a stroke, or I believe you can take a one stroke penalty and replace the ball at its orginal postion.

  10. One penalty shot and the ball must be replaced on or near its original position.
