  1. Many women don't wear hijab while on public places (except in Makkah and Maddina - Islam's Holiest Places) & Riyadh (the capital)

Other than that, it's ok, because many foreigners live in Saudi Arabia

No one would bash you nor take you to jail

NOTE: Wearing an "Abaya" is a MUST in ALL parts of Saudi Arabia..it's a black garment, made of soft clothes, that covers women's body, and it's made for modesty

  2. What happens in Saudi Arabia stays in Saudi Arabia

  3. no NOBODY  .. i repeat NOBODY  goes to jail for not wearing  the hijaab .. it depends on what the person wants 2 do .... but in our religon u must cover ur hair but ur face its not a must ... but u find alot of ppl who choose not 2 cover there hair ... its up 2 them ... BUT , if a women is spoted not wearing the hijaab the (hayaa) <ppl who lead u 2 the right path that allah our god ordered us to >  come 2 her and tell her 2 cover her hair polietly and then they leave .. but there not everywhere , like in ryadh for instince there more then jeddah .. hope ive helped :)

  4. it really differs from city to city

Burqa is not a must. It depends on the person itself.

Regarding Hijab (covering hair), it really differs from place to place

In Yemen, it is cultural thing. No official rules. In Aden, many women don't wear it at all. In other places like Sanaa, it is cultural, but women (local or foreigners can go totally without it).

In Iran, it is expected to wear Hijab. I think police can stop a woman, ask her to put it. Or she will sign a paper that she will agree to put it.

But, I think it depends on the place itself. Like in a restaurant or in the market?

In Saudi, if you are talk about Jeddah or Eastern province, then it is up to the person. In Riyadh, it is better to put it on. If you didn't put it in and you are unlucky, someone will ask you to put it.

  5. I'm in El-Khobar, i don't wear a hijab and sometimes "The Commanders of right" tell me to cover my hair, then they just pass by, so now i keep a cover with me just incase i saw one, but still i dont wear it!!

In Jeddah no one bothered me cuz there's alot of foreigners there, while i was in a place called Tabuk(I love this place) they didnt say a word about it also :-)

So, No we wont go to jail!!
