  1. If you're talking about Traffic School as in "I have to do this to get a ticket removed from my driving record," then what happens is you go sit somewhere and get bored for 8 hours.  In some states you can do an online course, which means you have to be bored online for about 4 or 5 hours, then go to a UPS store and take a test and be bored for half an hour waiting for your test results.

Okay, okay - in all seriousness, what they do is teach you about the rules and regulations of the road, and theoretically how to be a better driver.  It's all the same kind of stuff you learned when you were studying to get your driver's license and pass the written test.  (And, well.  It's pretty boring.)

  2. My daughter did an on-line school. You read their text, take a practice test, then when you are ready, go to the library, log on and take the REAL test, and you are done if you paid the money. Usually about $30-40.

Check with the agency that issurd the ticket to see if they will allow on-line traffic school.

  3. When you say traffic school, are you referring to defensive driving or driving school?

Driving school is not done in a classroom, you actually learn how to drive a car.

Defensive driving (or traffic school as you may call it) is a defensive driving course that teaches tactics on how to be a safe driver and avoid accidents at all costs.
