I just got an email telling me that the judges read the poem I submitted onto poetry.com. It said that my poem is being entered into "The Best Poems and Poets of 2007".
This clock ticks past 2 a.m
I should really get to bed
But I have these visions
These visions in my head.
I wanna run, I wanna know
How it feels in the rain.
I wanna know just what it means
To throw away all pain.
And its getting late and no one's hear.
You would complain, but I love the air,
It smells of freedom and a sense of knowing,
Anything is alright for me tonight.
It's funny how much time we spend
Regretting things we said
I will leave all my regrets
Locked away inside my head.
I wanna know what it feels like
To walk alone in this place
I wanna know what it feels like
To live a life with no mistakes.
And its getting late and no one's hear.
