What happens on ebay if you don't get an item you sell insured?

I just sold a small lcd tv on ebay. I put it in a box but I couldn't get the d**n stand off the bottom. So the box was a little protruding on the bottom. When I shipped it they told me I couldn't get it insured!!!! They also told me to send it two day shipping so it wouldn't be getting beat up in transit for so long so I did that. What happens if it arrives damaged to the buyer! I'm scared. :(

  1. I always thought insurance was on the buyer’s back. You should read eBay’s policies to be certain, but I think the liability to buy insurance is on the buyer.

  2. It is up to you to make sure that the item gets to your buyer in perfect shape.

Insurance is for the sellers benefit, not the buiyer.

You will lose any claim if it arrives in less than great shape.

If they wouldn't insure the package for you, you should have never shipped it that way!

You should be scared. This may be an expensive lesson for you I'm afraid.
