  1. I'm thinking it depends on the reason for the auction.  If your house is being auctioned for failure to pay back taxes, there will be a period set by the governmental agency conducting the auction.

    If your house is being auctioned because of non-payment of mortgage, the mortgage holder will probably have had you moved out prior to the auction.


  2. The sheriff escorts you out on the day of the auction since you are no longer the owner.  Don't be unprepared.  Don't move out too early. If the house gets vandalized while you still own it, you would be liable.  See if the bank will let you sign a deed today. /

  3. You generally have 30 days to leave the premesis after they auction off the property.  You should get a notice in the mail.
