I am planning on beginning to pump but my question is when you do give your child the bottle of breast milk at their regular feeding time, do your b*****s tend to feel full and sore? Right now my body will tell me when it is close to feeding time, so if i skip a feeding at the b*****s to give a bottle of breast milk will this affect my body?

  1. Yes, your b*****s will feel full and sore, that just means it is time to pump again unless you plan on eventually changing that bottle of breast milk into a bottle of something else.  Your b*****s work on supply and demand, as long as there is demand they will keep up the supply, but once the demand lessens your b*****s will not make as much.  The full feeling you have is your b*****s telling themselves that they need to slow down on making more milk right now - and they will adjust and regulate themselves over a short amount of time.  So even if you are giving your baby a bottle of breast milk, you still need to pump to keep up your supply.
