  1. In the US they just cremate the body then the cremains are put into a tumbling machine to break down the bigger pieces of bone.

  2. yeah i do have to say that having this in the wedding section is kind of funny--on a side not of course.

sorry about you loss--everyone pretty much explained it.

  3. in the UK they cremate the body in the coffin, in the usa they dont. no matter the high heat of cremation leaves no coffin only bone fragments, just remember them as they were,

  4. The body gets cremated in the coffin...

Poor you, try not to think about it, think about nice memories of your friend :)

  5. In the US they take the body out of the coffin (usually it is just a rented one), wrapped in the lining (then they re-line the coffin prior to next use). and cremate the body that way. The individual is completely clothed -underwear to shoes.

    Hope this helps.

  6. If the family purchased the casket, it is cremated.  If the casket was rented, the liner comes out and there is a lid that goes on it.  Then the cardboard liner is cremated.  A new liner is then placed in the rental casket.  The above answer that says that in the USA we don't cremated the caskets is wrong.  There are caskets made specifically for cremation, and they are then cremated after any services.

  7. No sure about anywhere else but here in the Uk they cremate the body in the coffin. Hope this helped and my condolences about your friend.

  8. i love how this in the wedding section :)

    sorry for your loss.
