  1. The processor identifies it and goes into a pre determined program. The check engine light comes on to notify you. It will adversly affect you engine's performance and gas milage. Hope this helps.

  2. it will use gas like crazy and blacken your plugs. too rich of a burn, it will have.

  3. Check out this page on the O2 Sensors.  http://www.boschautoparts.com/Resources/...

  4. Codes > or check engine light comes on>

  5. The O2 sensor is the final feedback.  It allow the computer to "check" its own input.

The one final problem would be that you would be terrible gas mileage.

    Good Luck...

  6. It could do several things, 1-it will make the engine run rough

2-your fuel millage will go down 3-your catalytic converter will burn out faster, and there's more but those are the 3 main ones.

  7. this happened to me last year yes it does hurt gas millage because it forces your cars engine to work harder to try and find the poblem and when your engine is working on overdrive it could cause problems with your engine good luck because o2 censors are expensive about $200 a piece depending on the car.
