What happens to a person that they feel they need to commit murder?

well yes i realize that, but i am talking about what happens to a person psychologically.

They succumb to an atavistic impulse of violence, without considering the ramifications of his or her actions.

It comes from anger of some sort, and the inability to control it, nor express it in a healthy fashion.

There are hundreds of motives that may create the urge for someone to commit murder. Jealousy, anger, hate, revenge, mental illnesses (though not all of the mentally ill are violent!), past physical or psychological abuse, or just a sadistic urge.

They don't feel. That's the core variable in why many people commit murder.
