  2. Steps are taken to assure that more are not needlessly dying.  Areas are left alone and can't be developed on or news are for habitation.

  3. efforts to conserve and preserve that particular species will be carried out. the goverment will also ban the hunting of that animal. they will also protect the habitat of that animal.

  4. when a specie is once identified as "endangered" strict measures are taken to improve their number

    like the recent case, Polar bears

    efforts are made for their protection to have an increase in their number!

  5. It gets harder to buy in the grocery store.

    Farmers don't want the hassle of the additional paper work so they stop feeding and caring for endangered species.

  6. It's habitat and the animal itself is protected by law.  (The Endangered Species Act) Management programs would then be started to help it reproduce and survive.
