Well, I hope you know how an abortion works. They go inside the woman and pull the baby out in pieces. And then the baby is either cremated or buried. (Most hospitals have a sort of 'baby burial ground' where the bury abortioned and stillborn babies.)

They are considered biological waste, and usually incinerated. You cannot take them home, because of the laws regarding biological waste. You can arange for them to be picked up by a mortuary and buried, but nobody tells you this, and they are generally already incinerated.

By law they cannot be used for tissue cultures, which was once a possible fate of especially aborted babies.

Some teaching hospitals will keep miscarried babies for teaching aids, or autopsy them to determine cause of miscarriage, but usually only with your consent, and sometimes only at your request.

The organs of miscarried children are sometime eligible for donation to sick living babies, but nobody will tend to ask you for them. If you want to make the loss of a near term child less tragic, aggressively donate. There is a terrible shortage of tiny organs

actually they use some of the parts of the baby in makeup!!!!!  its true just like your mascara is bat p**p. I'm not against abortion or makeup i just thought you should know something about the collagen or something i read it somewhere a  LONG time ago they probably don't do it anymore i don't know just thought id share a lil piece of OLD info actually i just looked it up. that is waht its used for and it is in your makeup  sorry i dont wear makeup it breaks me out

It depends, but ive heard of them being thrown in the trash. I dont know how common that is though.

I think it depends how far along you were pregnant before the baby was aborted.

Sometimes they leave it and it will just pass out of you the next time you have a period.

Other times they use a machine to vacuum it out.

Not sure how they dispose of it after that. They probably just incinerate it.

Horrible thought, that's why I'd never have an abortion.

Please don't ask a whole bunch of pregnant women questions like this!! I'm sure they dispose of it properly. How would you "dispose" a baby?

Alot of the poor babies just get thrown in the trash. =(

I agree with the girl who pulled her answer from the Yahoo search engine.  However, I would like to clarify something.  I work for a Pathology lab, and the doctor I work for is responsible for covering as the Medical Examiner as well as the local Coroner (pretty much the same thing, different title).  He told me one day that some aborted fetuses were kept for experimentation, but that most of those tests were simply done to test toxins and medications for reaction to skin or brain tissue.  Since most fetuses are aborted at 3 to 12 weeks, those tend to be incinerated, as regulated by state and federal laws.  However, those abortions approved after the three month mark are potential science experiments, unless the families choose to donate organs or bury the fetus themselves.  So, before you have an abortion, think about what will happen to the body of your unborn child.

To answer your question If its done at a hospital then they would take care of their things that means not into some rubbish trash can

If its done at some private clinic where they allow abortions past there date where hospitals can't do it then they probably put it in some kind of trash can

they throw it in the garbage. as screwed up as it is this girl i knew got an abortion and she felt so bad after wards she went to the dumpster and she found all the dead babies and buried them. She went crazy she has been in a mental home for 6 years now!

As far as i know (not that i have ever had an abortion) they are thrown in a dumpster out the back or incinerated- not very nice.
