  1. SISTER, HERE'S THE Q/A WHICH I COPIED FROM ISLAM Q AND A WEBSITE, PLS READ IT.

Recently my 20 year old cat died and my young nieces asked whether animals would go to heaven and I really could not answer them since I don't know the answers myself. Do they go to heaven/h**l and how can we make amends if we were cruel to the animals (especially since they have since died)?

    Praise be to Allaah.

This question is in two parts:

1 – what is the fate of animals in the Hereafter? Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together”

    [al-Takweer 81:5]

“There is not a moving (living) creature on earth, nor a bird that flies with its two wings, but are communities like you. We have neglected nothing in the Book, then unto their Lord they (all) shall be gathered”

    [al-An’aam 6:38]

Ibn ‘Abbaas said: “Everything will be gathered, even the flies.”

On the Day of Resurrection, the animals will settle scores between one another. It says in a hadeeth of Abu Hurayrah that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “All scores will be settled on the Day of Resurrection; even the hornless sheep will settle its scores with the horned sheep.” (Narrated by Muslim, al-Birr wa’l-Silah wa’l-Adaab, 4679).

It says in another hadeeth: “Allaah will judge between His creation, jinn, humans and animals. On that Day the score will be settled between the hornless and the horned, until there are no outstanding issues left, then Allaah will say, ‘Be dust!’ At the point the kaafir will say, ‘Would that I were dust!’” Shaykh al-Albaani said: This is saheeh. No. 1966; see al-Silsilah al-Saheehah, part 4, p. 966

What is obligatory for the Muslim is to be kind to animals and not harm or annoy them. It was reported that a woman was punished because of a cat. Al-Bukhaari narrated from Ibn ‘Umar (may Allaah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “A woman went to h**l because of a cat which she tied up, and did not feed it or let it eat of the vermin of the earth.”  (Bad’ al-Khalq, 3071)

And Allaah forgave a prostitute because she was kind to a dog. Al-Bukhaari also narrated that Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: “The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: ‘Whilst a dog was walking around a well, almost dying of thirst, one of the prostitutes of Bani Israa’eel saw him, took off her shoe and gave him water. She was forgiven because of that.” (Ahaadeeth al-Anbiyaa’, 3208)

Whoever harms an animal has to repent to Allaah for that, because the Lord of the animals is the One Who has commanded us to be kind towards them (unless they are harmful).

  2. I liked the Buddist concept of reincarnation very much, so I choose to believe that. perfectly logical. somehow it dosent show in the Qoran...  maybe it's hidden somewhere...

    anyway, here goes:

All organisms in this world have a soul, and so do animals. When they die, depending on their deeds in their present life (emotions: anger, harming of other animals out of vengeance (not for food purposes), belief in god), they will be reincarnated in future... either as a human (if they did good deeds) or as another animal...

I was not able to explain to myself, why god discriminates between us at the birth level - why is one person disabled from a poor family, and why is another person blessed with brains from an excellent family? is'nt this partiality? But god cannot be partial. So then I read the concept of reincarnation, and it makes perfect sense... Your deeds in your past life are responsible for your birth conditions and species, and your current is responsible for the future.

Your free to believe this or not :D

  3. no! they go wherever us humans go..and as for that i am uncertain, heaven i guess.

  4. they lie on the ground and start to smell alot!

    soon after,  they decompose!

dont ask me how i know!

  5. I don't know for sure, but animals are guilt-less. They are perfect and without an evil will. Everything they do is within the realm of behavior granted to them by God. Every dog I have ever met has been more upright than any human I have ever met. I believe that God cares for them as much as any other creation. If an animal bites you then you deserve it. They run when they can and fight when they have to. If any creature deserves love and life in the hereafter...it is a dog (all other animals too...dogs are just domesticated and make the most visible example). We could learn from them, but some religions don't see that (I wonder why?).

edit: dessert fux - try not to be so thick. Learn a little context. Anything an animal does is driven by nature (no matter what it is). They do not know good from evil and are not driven by a sinful nature as you and I are. They only do what comes naturally to them and are judged accordingly. As for f***s...it has nutrients and God never said that dogs were forbidden to eat f***s (in fact, he gave them an immune system which allowed them to eat f***s without getting sick...something you and I don't have). And, I'm pretty sure that you won't be anywhere near them in paradise. Have a great day dessert fux.

By the way...you're supposed to answer the question at the top of the page...not me. If I have a question for you, I'll ask.

  6. no they go straight to heaven...they are masoom (innocent)

  7. yes the will

Allah will resurrect them again in day of judgment  and make justice between them.

and turn them dust then Kafir will wish to be like them because there is no punishment for ever.

  8. we eat them

  9. To the Troll: Everyone that gets bit deserves it? I read an article sometime last year about a dog in England chewing on a baby until it died. Not to mention they're coprophagic (they eat f***s) - no way would I want to be anywhere near such an animal in Paradise.

  10. I believe they go where we do... but, because they are without sin, they do not have to go through judgment, as we do. I actually look forward to seeing my pets who have passed over before me!
