When I was younger I had a enlarged heart thats all I was told.

but I was reading up on it and to some children it can be fatal.

And so It got me thinking If it was enlarged when I was a child are there any side effects. I mean my mom never really talked about it and its kind of scaring me. I just wanna know the blunt truth do people that had this condition die younger or prone to more desese or something or is everything fine and ushally never any problomes after.

  1. It is impossible to say because "enlarged heart" is not a medical diagnosis.  It is just a finding or symptom.  It could even be just an 'over-read' of a chest x-ray.  It would be quite unusual to find a significantly enlarged heart in a small child without some other symptoms.  This leads me to think that whatever it is, or isn't, it's pretty minor.

If you are really worried about it, discuss it with your doctor.
