What happens to kids health insurance benefits if I am injured at work and go on workers compensation benefit?

I just went on workers compensation and I have health insurance through my employer what happens to this if I can't pay it

  1. If you don't pay for your health insurance - and your kids - both your coverages will be cancelled.

    As soon as your employer terminates you, your health insurance cancels, unless you pay for it yourself, through cobra.  Even though you're on Workers Comp, that only covers the work related injury.  It does NOT keep paying for your benefits.

  3. I believe that if your still on the payroll your still entitled to your health insurance benefits. Although it doesn't come out of the paycheck the checks you will received are tax free so just in case I save some on the side just in case your health insurance ask you to reimburse you.

    This is a good question, even I'm not sure of it.  I would ask your adjuster or contact your HR manager with that question.  Also try the health insurance company as well.
