  1. They start moving around faster and faster, bumping into each other more often.  Eventually the pressure inside the liquid due to their movement will exceed the atmospheric pressure pushing down on them.  When this happens, water is said to boil.


  2. Hydrogen bonding decreases, and with some much temperature the water molecules over come the energy of hydrogen bonding and that is when water begins to boil.  The spread out with increasing temperature.
