  1. Yes you can visit US again. If you have a bill pending above a certain threshold limit, US embassy in your country would contact you personally to make you pay your bills. This they do through your passport records.

    In case you still don't pay your pending bills and you try to reenter US they would probably take you in custody for making you pay the bills and only then you can enter US!


  2. Wow, Mayank's answer is as wrong as it could be!  U.S. Embassies do NOT do bill collection overseas.  PERIOD.  Nor do they look up foreigners by their passport records!  Do not listen to this answer.

    Sadly for American citizens, there is no effect whatsoever on your eligibility to visit the U.S.

    On the other hand, if you have any conscience at all, you should pay your debts.  If you have enough money for foreign vacations, you have enough not to, essentially, steal from hospitals and doctors by receiving services and then refusing to pay for them.
