What happens to salt from ocean when it is picked up by storms and rain comes down from storm?

  1. The salt contained in water is left behind during evaporation.  


  2. Under calm conditions, the evaporation of water from the oceans contains no salt.  It is left behind, as was said above. But if there are high winds and choppy seas, the spray contains the salts, which is carried inland by the wind.  I live 2 miles from the Atlantic Ocean, and my windows get coated with salt when there is turbulent weather.
