What happens to someone whos over 18 who runs away from their home ?

if someone whos over 18 runs away, and has no where to go and no money,

what does the state do ? (specificly florida)

is there any foster home or anything ?

Over 18 you are an adult by law unless declared by a court as incompetent . So you are on your own .

Foster home for an adult?  Are you crazy?  When you're 18 you leave home, you don't "run away".  Grow up and start acting like an adult.

No, once you are eighteen, you are responsible for yourself. That person would need to get a job and support themselves. The state will not do anything, legally. That person could always apply for welfare, but if they are able to work, they shouldn't go that route. At 18, unless you are in college, you should be making your own money. My 18 year old son lives at home, works two jobs and pays his truck payment, insurance, cell phone bill ...etc.....He has done that since he was sixteen. We even tried to tell him we'd buy his deoderant and personal needs items but he just grabs them when he's out. Actually, I'm very proud of him. He's a very responsible young man.

well when you run away from home you are essentially homeless. And no the cops are not going to come looking for you like when you ran away at 16.
