What happens to sunburned corals?

My corals got sunburned by metal halides!!! Help please!! What will happen? It is a Lobo coral

  1. My guess is it could either die or lose its color


  2. 1) Please do your research before doing a saltwater aquarium.

    2) Corals don't "sunburn" they bleach (a.k.a, they expel the algae from their body)

    3) It was probably becoming more red, gaining the algae back that it lost at the pet store. I'm assuming it was pinkish or white when you bought it?
