  1. Its called "sinking".

  2. The incident that consolidated the reputation of the Bermuda Triangle was the disappearance in December 1945 of Flight 19, a training squadron of five U.S. Navy torpedo bombers. The squadron left Fort Lauderdale, Florida, with 14 crewmen and disappeared after radioing a series of distress messages; a seaplane sent in search of the squadron also disappeared. Aircraft that have disappeared in the area since this incident include a DC-3 carrying 27 passengers in 1948 and a C-124 Globemaster with 53 passengers in 1951. Among the ships that have disappeared was the tankership Marine Sulphur Queen, which vanished with 39 men aboard in 1963.

There are many example like this

  3. They mostly carry on with their journeys, seeing as this myth has long been shown to be a load of cobblers.  Neither local yacht clubs, marine insurance companies, airlines or shipping lines make any special allowances for this nonsense, and with good reason.

  4. Lloyds of London is the biggest marine insurance company in the world. Examination of their records has shown that boats are no more likely to go missing near Bermuda than anywhere else. So, its a myth, although it can be quite an entertaining one. Everyone likes a good story like roswell or bigfoot etc etc.

  5. The same thing that happens to them if they wreck any other place with the same type of surface and air support facilities.

  6. nothing.

  7. No one knows... that's why it's such a mystery. I think it my just be a hoax, or even if that stuff really did happen (like Amelia Erhart), then they probably got hit by bad weather and smashed to smithereens, ending up at the bottom of the ocean.

  8. They sink out of sight in deep water, and that's all. The same thing happens all over the world. The Bermuda Triangle is only a hoax invented by Charles Berlitz to make money from gullible people who bought his books about it.
